Beagles - Plus And Minus

So what are the pro's and cons of the Beagle as a pet? Many loyal Beagle owners will say there are no cons. But here are a few things to think about when considering this breed:

Pro's:
Long Life: Beagles can live well into their teen's.
They are generally very good with children.
Beagles have a happy temperament.
Beagle tend to be a healthy breed overall.
Beagles need little or no grooming.

Cons:
Beagles can be 'barky'.
They aren't the easiest dogs to train, and can be disobedient.
Can be destructive, they like to chew things.
Beagles tend to run off when spotting a rabbit, squirrel, or just because they feel like it!
